MEBANE - Ms. Shelia Morrow, 54, of 213 Stagecoach Road, died Jan. 1, 2013 at her residence.

She was the daughter of Mr. Joe Henry Morrow and Mrs. Patsy Degreaffenreidt, both deceased.
Ms. Morrow was employed as a verifier with LabCorp and a member of Mebane First Baptist Church. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, solitaire, writing, reading the Bible, time with family, going to church and church events, listening to Christian music and going to the beach. She also enjoyed mentoring and sharing with children and troubled teens.
Survivors include son, Kendall Morrow of Burlington, N.C.; daughter, Kendra Morrow of the home; brothers, Benjamin "Ben" Morrow (Eleanor) of Mebane, N.C. and Kevon Morrow of Burlington; sisters, Sara Compton and Fannie Jones, both of Mebane, and Linda Rogers (Danny) of High Point, N.C.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Jack Compton and Joe Jones.
The public viewing will be from noon until 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 in the Roy Blackwell Chapel of Blackwell Funeral Home, Burlington, N.C. At other times the family will receive friends at the residence of Ms. Morrow.
The funeral will be conducted Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Mebane First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Barry Morrow delivering the eulogy. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service with family visitation from 2:30 to 3 p.m. Burial will be in Mebane Community Cemetery.
