ASHEBORO, N.C. - Mrs. Shirley Boggs Pegram, 66, passed away Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, at Randolph Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday in the Forbis & Dick Brooke Chapel, 8320 US Highway 158 in Stokesdale, with the Rev. Olin Tatum of West Burlington Church of God officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Flat Rock United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
A Guilford County native, Shirley was born on July 1, 1947, the daughter of the late Elwood Jackson and Margaret Michaux Boggs. She grew up in Summerfield but, several years ago, moved to Asheboro to be closer to her daughter, Wendy. She attended the West Burlington Church of God.
Surviving are her children, Wendy Pegram of Asheboro, Dianne Sisk of Gibsonville, Tammy Rayle and husband Van of High Point and Danny Pegram and wife Rhonda of Greensboro; 10 grandchildren, Zachary Chambers, Adam Chambers, Amber Pegram, Alan Pegram, Justin Rayle, Joni Coleman, Roger Pegram, Jackson Pegram, Fairyn Pegram and Riley Pegram; and three great-grandchildren.
