YANCEYVILLE, N.C. - Mr. Vernell Totten Sr., 54, of 99 Brotherhood Rd, died Thursday, March 21, 2013 at his residence.
He was the son of Mrs. Jessie Poteat Totten and the late James Adam Totten, born August 24, 1958 in Caswell County, NC. He was a member of Blackwell Baptist Church.
He was employed with Williamsburg Plant and was married to Darlene McCain Totten.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Rinzer Totten and Raymond Lee Totten and one sister, Dorothy Marie Totten.
His survivors are: wife, Darlene McCain of the home; one son, Vernell Totten Jr. of Yanceyville, NC; one daughter, Tracey Danielle Totten of Yanceyville, NC; one brother, James Kenny Totten (Christine) of Yanceyville; three sisters, Ollie Totten Graves of Reidsville, Linda Totten Brown (Sanford) of Yanceyville, Mable Graves (McArthur) of Yanceyville, and Brenda Totten of Reidsville; three aunts, Mary Emma Gwynn, Wilma Johnson and Monnie Johnson, grandchild, Travon Fields; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be Monday, March 25, 2013, 1:00 at Blackwell Baptist Church. Pastor Everett Dickerson will deliver the words of comfort. Internment will follow in the church cemetery.
Family visitation will be Monday afternoon from 12:30 to 1:00 at the church.
Viewing will be Sunday afternoon from 2 to 8 at Fulton Funeral Home.
