ELON - Virginia "Granny BB" Kincaid Baynard, 82, of The Oaks of Alamance, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2012, after several years of failing health. She was born April 3, 1929, in Rowan County to the late James Reid and Bonnie Simmons Eller. Virginia had retired from Sears after 25 years of service and was a member of Archdale Methodist Church. She volunteered at High Point Regional Hospital for many years. She enjoyed working with her hands quilting, in her garden and yard, and was a great cook. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her daughters, Bonnie "Kitty" Kincaid of Atlanta, Ga., Tommie Jo (Mike) Garner of Elon, Tina (Sam) Pickard, of Gibsonville; and grandchildren, Thomas, Jennifer, Matthew, Megan and Joshua. She was preceded in death by her first husband Thomas Max Kincaid, parents and a brother, Buddy Eller.
There will be a service to celebrate her life 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at First Baptist Church of Elon by the Rev. Mark Mofield. The family will receive friends after the service.
