OAK RIDGE, N.C. - Mr. William "Bill" Grubbs Jr., 49, of Daltonshire Drive, Oak Ridge died at his residence on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012 at 11:10 a.m.
He was the son of Bill Grubbs Sr. and Jo Ellen Grubbs, who survive. He was a Certified Public Accountant with Lincoln Financial and was formerly employed with Aon in Winston-Salem and Elon University. Bill was the founder of Project Racing Home. He loved and enjoyed working with animals and loved car racing with his friend Chris. He also enjoyed talking sports with his friends and colleagues and watching sports with his dad.
In addition to his parents of Greensboro, survivors include two brothers, Jeff Grubbs and David Grubbs, both of Florida and two uncles, Wilbert Grubbs of Burlington and Dan Cox of Chicago, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alton Grubbs and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Cox, all of Burlington.
Please respect Bill's wishes to be surrounded by his close immediate family to say their goodbyes and get him ready for his final journey. Private services will be held for the family.
