GRAHAM - Mr. William Patrick "Bill" Flanagan, 68, of 1610 Broadway Drive, Graham, died suddenly at his residence on Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 at 2 p.m.
A native of Newark, N.J., he was the husband of Lora Black Flanagan, who survives, and the son of William P. Flanagan and Margaret Crehan Flanagan, both deceased. He retired from Lucent Technologies and was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Bill was a beloved husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include two daughters, Lora Jean Flanagan-Brown and husband Riley of Meriden, Conn. and Kathleen Flanagan Cole and husband Chuck of Apex; four grandsons, William "Liam" Edwin Flanagan-Brown, John "Jack" Riley Flanagan-Brown, Charles "Chaz" William Cole and Griffin James Cole; a sister, Eileen Flanagan McDonald and husband Terry of Mahopac, N.Y.; and a host of nieces, nephews and in-laws.
The funeral service will be conducted at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012 at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Paul Gabriel, O.F.M. Conv. Burial will follow in Graham Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. At other times they will be at the residence.
