MEBANE, N.C. - Mr. William Paul Everhart, 66, of 110 N. Oakland Drive, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013 at UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill, N.C.

Born in Davidson County, N.C., Mr. Everhart worked as a Field Service Engineer for Perkin-Elmer Corp for 20 years before retiring. He was a member of Mebane Presbyterian Church and served his country in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine P. Everhart, of the home; daughter, Carrie Everhart Schuessler (Aaron) of Flagstaff, Ariz.; son, William David Everhart (Jennifer) of Durham, N.C.; grandchildren, Maddox Schuessler, Evan Schuessler and Audrey Everhart; sister, Yvonne Dobey (Rex) of Houston, Texas, Nora Smith (David) of Cobb, Ga., and Frankie Hedrick (Buddy) of Lexington, N.C.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Ralph and Harriet Conner Everhart; and brother, Joel Everhart.
The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane from 6 until 8 Wednesday evening and at other times at the residence.
A graveside service will be conducted in Mebane Memorial Gardens at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013 by the Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Smith.
