MEBANE, N.C. - Yvonne Burgess Jones, 77, of 602 Wilba Road, died Jan. 21, 2013 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
The Guest Book is expired.
Sacrificial Nani and Mom, Yvonne Jones went to be with her Savior and husband Jan. 21, 2013 at 11:10 p.m. She lived for Christ all her life and was a member of Andrews Memorial Baptist Church in Graham. Her life was a testimony of agape love.
She spent her time in helping her daughter, Kim Burton, and her grandchildren, Jordan, Jared and Andee, who were the loves of her life. Her last years were blessed with her great-grandson, Mason Burton, whom she adored. His smile lit up her world.
She was admitted to the hospital on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 and her last few days were spent asking to be with Christ and her husband of 54 years, Frank Jones. Her request was granted by our wonderful Lord and Savior. God's timing is always perfect. Her life was a living example of I Corinthians 13. Love always hopes, always perseveres and never gives up.
In addition to her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandson, she is survived by sister, Barbara Carter; brother, Frank Burgess; and several nieces and nephews whose lives she touched.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Burgess, Ruby Crouse, Louise Ellington, Doris Brady and Mary Holloway; and brothers, Warren Burgess, Jamie Burgess, Garland Burgess, Junior Burgess, Jack Burgess and Robert Edward Burgess.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013 in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane by Dr. Tommy Willis. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Mebane.
