MARYLAND - Mrs. Ella Lorene Clements, 69, of 1910 County Road, Apt. 204, died Feb. 13, 2014, at Prince George Hospital.

She was the wife of the late Mr. Stafford Clements and the daughter of Mr. Willie Edd Thompson and Mrs. Adella Gwynn Thompson, both deceased.
She was employed in the Research/Personnel Dept. of the U.S. Labor Department and was a member of Sassafras Grove Baptist Church. She liked to knit, read and sew. She loved pets, especially her devoted bird, Peetie. She also loved spending time with her family and was very close to her friends.
Survivors include a brother, Gary Neal Thompson Sr. of Providence, N.C.; sister, Julia Harris Wilhoite of Yanceyville, N.C.; special friend, Paul F. White of Washington, D.C.; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be Saturday from 1 until 8 p.m. in the Roy Blackwell Chapel of Blackwell Funeral Home.
The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, at Sassafras Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Gary Williams delivering the eulogy. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will take place from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
