Mrs. Jean Hayes Carson O'Connor, of 343 Baldwin Road, Burlington, died Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the Hospice Home in Burlington.

A native of Franklinville, NC, Mrs. O'Connor was the wife of the late James G. Carson and the late Robert E. O'Connor. She was the daughter of the late Dewey Hayes and the late Pauline Tysinger Hayes.
Mrs. O'Connor was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church.
Mrs. O'Connor is survived by her sons, Mike Carson and his wife, Linda, of Burlington, and Russell Carson and his wife, Della, of Hawfields; a step-daughter, Carolyn Choplin and her husband, Joe, of Yadkinville, and a step-son, Steve O'Connor and his wife, Lisa, of Fayetteville; 3 grandchildren, Tracie Carson Wiese and her husband, Jason, Kimber Carson and Steven Carson and fiancée, Tania; 3 step-grandchildren, Greg Brunick and his wife, Wendy, Heather Adams and her husband, Michael, Hannah May and her husband, Cody; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Williams, of Graham, and her special bird, Heeney.
Mrs. O'Connor was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Hayes.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2014, at 2:00 PM in the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington. Burial will be at Graham Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, from 12:45 until 1:45 pm prior to the service. Other times they will be at the residence of a son, Mike Carson, 1356 St. Regis Drive, Burlington, NC 27215.
