BURLINGTON - Mr. Clyde "Charlie" Owens, 72, of 1711 N. Park Ave., passed away on Friday, March 28, 2014, at Hospice Home of Alamance.

He was the son of Floyd Alexander Owens Sr. and Mary Mageline Patrick Owens, both deceased.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ted and Frank Owens and two sisters, Lucy Thompson and Alice Lee Hawkins.
Clyde is survived by his daughter, Shellia Satterfield of Burlington; son, David D. Slade of Burlington; five brothers, Floyd Owens Jr., Robert Owens, Roy Owens, all of Greensboro, Alexander Owens of Burlington and Ed Owens of Hickory; three sisters, Sallie Mae Torain of Burlington, Onnie Owens and Min. Betty Anderson (Charlie) of Greensboro; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two aunts, Ophelia Totten and Calloway Isley, both of Burlington; and a host of other relatives and friends.
His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Jones' Crossroads Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m. in the chapel at Alamance Funeral Service and all other times at the home of his daughter, 1707 N. Park Ave. His public viewing will be held on Tuesday from 1 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
