BURLINGTON - Mrs. Margaret "Nell" Gaynelle Richmond, 62, of 2328 Pine Knoll Terrace, died March 31, 2014, at UNC Hospitas.
She was the wife of Mr. Wilbert Richmond Sr. of Haw River, and daughter of Mr. Hue Roy Burwell and Mrs. Maude Lea Burwell, both deceased.
She was a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church and was employed with Copland Fabrics. She loved to paint, listen to music, take care of the dogs, puzzles and computer games. She loved her grandchildren.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include one son, Wilbert Lee Richmond Jr. (LaKeisha) of the home; a daughter, Chantay LaShawn Richmond (Clint) of Wilmington, N.C.; a brother, Willie Houston Graves of Yanceyville; four sisters, Virginia Sue Daniels of Washington, D.C., Brenda G. Gattis of Haw River, Lorean Blackwell of Burlington and Jackie B. Watlington of Graham; six grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be Friday, April 4, 2014, from noon to 8 p.m. in the Roy Blackwell Chapel of Blackwell Funeral Home, Burlington. At other times the family will receive friends at the residence and the residence of her sister, Brenda Gattis, 2058 Paisley Drive, Haw River.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Providence Missionary Baptist Church. Family visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
