GRAHAM - Mr. Thomas Frank Cole, 90, died at Twin Lakes Memory Care on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at 4:35 a.m.

A native of Randolph County, he was the husband of Jeannette McBane Cole, who survives, and the son of Charles F. Cole and Allene King Cole, both deceased. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army-Air Corps, serving in the 507th Fighter Group during World War II. He was awarded four Bronze Stars for his service in the Pacific Theater. Thomas was a graduate of High Point College. He retired as the owner and operator of Thomas Cole Real Estate Agency and was a former chemist for Glen Raven Mills. He was a member of Concord United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his daughter, Charise Sumner and husband Mike of Graham.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Maxine Cole Walters; and two brothers, Talmadge Cole and Leo Cole.
The funeral service will be conducted in the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Friday, April 18, 2014, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Dave Allen, with the family receiving friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Concord United Methodist Church cemetery.
