BURLINGTON - Mr. Wayman Happy Fowler, 73, of 127 School St., died April 15, 2014 at Hospice of Alamance-Caswell.

He was the husband of Mrs. Lula Arletta "Sis" Jones Fowler who survives and the son of Mr. Robert Fowler and Mrs. Martha Upsher Fowler, both deceased.
He was a member of Clinton Memorial Church and worked for the City of Burlington. He loved watching wrestling, hauling junk and taking care of his special god-child. He also loved his family dearly.
Survivors include sisters, Mary Alice Leath (Jimmy) of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Faye Murdock of Burlington, N.C.; a special god-child, Jacori Bittle of Burlington; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be Friday, April 18, from 1 to 8 p.m. at Blackwell Funeral Home in Burlington. At other times the family will receive friends at the residence, 127 School St., Burlington.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. April 19, 2014, at Clinton Memorial UCC Church with the Rev. Lewis Fowler delivering the eulogy. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service with family visitation at 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial UCC Church cemetery.
