SWEPSONVILLE - Mrs. Mary Belle Cook Stanley, 87, formerly of Swepsonville, N.C., passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014, at the Presbyterian Home of Hawfields. She was the daughter of the late Grover and Ava Suits Cook, of Mebane, N.C. and the wife of the late Charlie "Hootie" Stanley. She was a lifelong member of Hebron United Methodist Church.

Although Mary Belle was not blessed with brothers and sisters or children, she was much loved by all her cousins and friends. She will be well-remembered by Ellen Williams, Jay Cook, Jimmy Cook, Vanessa Brady, and Shirley Underwood, and their families, for her many hugs and the sincere love and care she showed to everyone.
Mary Belle was a longtime employee of Burlington Industries and Melville Chevrolet in Mebane.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at the Hebron United Methodist Church cemetery with the Rev. Bryan Sexton officiating. The family will receive friends in the church sanctuary from 10:30 a.m. until service time on Saturday.
The family would like to thank all the staff at the Presbyterian Home of Hawfields for the care and love shown to Mary Belle during her stay at their facility.
