BURLINGTON - Mrs. Lois Davis Lackey, 93, of Burlington died at her residence on Friday, May 23, 2014.

A native of Phoenix, Ariz., she was the wife of the late T.J. Lackey and the daughter of William Davis, father, Eva Ree Mason Holton, mother and Bill Holton, stepfather, who are all deceased. She was a member of People's Memorial Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, June L. Pennington and husband Robert E. "Bob" Pennington Jr. of the home; three grandchildren, Loree Anne Pennington of the home, Robert "Jeff" Pennington and wife Lisa of Snow Camp and Cheryl White and husband Billy of Burlington; nine great-grandchildren, Michelle White, Lenae Ashby, Eva Miller, and Davis, Heather, Caleb, Andrew, Julia and Ella Pennington; six great-great-grandchildren; and special nephew, Richard Yates and wife Barbara.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie W. Newman; grandson, Barry Wall; and sister, Evelyn Yates.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Sunday, May 25, 2014, at 3 p.m. by the Rev. John Shields with the family receiving friends from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
