Mrs. Edna Ann Curtis Poole, 79, of 1204 Dixie Street, Graham, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014 at the Hospice Home in Burlington.

Mrs. Poole was the daughter of the late Charles Curtis and the late Louise Wayne Curtis.
Mrs. Poole retired from AT&T Lucent after 38 years of service as an accountant. She was a member of Eastlawn Baptist Church.
Mrs. Poole is survived by two daughters, Lindy Bakatsias, and her husband, Johnny, and Karen Lowe and her husband, Jim Bogue ; a son, Kenneth Poole and his wife, Sherri; six grandchildren, Nicholas Bakatsias and his wife, Lauren, Penny Bakatsias, Justin Poole and his wife, Julie, Kevin Poole, Patrick Lowe and Cameron Lowe; a sister-in-law, Mildred Curtis, and a dear friend, Irma Walker.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Poole was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kathy Poole, four sisters, Mary, Helen, Elizabeth and Willie and six brothers, Finley, George, Paul, Hal, Ed and Howard.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 10, 2014, from 1:30 until 2:45 PM at Rich and Thompson Funeral Service in Burlington.
The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM in the Rich and Thompson Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Steve Joyner. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
The family would like to express their thanks to the Nursing Staff of Alamance Regional Medical Center for the care given to their mother during her illness.
