MEBANE - Tracey Brumfield passed away on Monday, May 19, 2014, from complications with a tumor. She was 46.

Tracey was born Sept. 7, 1967, in Thomasville to the late Robert Samuel Turner and Anne Harris Turner. She was a resident of Athens, Ga. from 1994 until her death. She lived for much of her childhood with her late aunt, Rosalee Harris.
In her early career, Tracey worked in biotechnology both in North Carolina and Georgia. During her time in Athens, she rediscovered her love of painting and spent the majority of her life creating her art. She became an integral part of the Weekend A'Fair Antique Mall where she had two booths, nicknamed "New Crazytown." There she sold antique finds from auctions and her own unique artwork.
She is survived by her husband, William Robert Brumfield of Athens; son, Jacob McCauley (Anja) of Mebane; sister, Angela Ashley of Mebane; brother, Stephen Copley (Debra) of Rougemont, and Sandy Turner of Roxboro.
A memorial service will be held at McClure Funeral Service in Mebane on Saturday, June 21 at 2 p.m. Her family will receive visitors at 2913 Mebane Oaks Road in Mebane following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Elon Homes and Schools For Children, 1717 Sharon Road, W. Charlotte, N.C. 28210.
