BURLINGTON - Mrs. Vickie S. Allred, 69, of 7315 Shoe Road, died suddenly at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital on Thursday, June 26, 2014, at 11:06 a.m.

A native of Guilford County, she was the wife of Charles Allred, who survives, and the daughter of Harvey Suits and Lois Childers Suits, both deceased. She retired with more than 20 years of service at Penn National Insurance Company.
In addition to her husband of the home, survivors include three children, Jeff Allred and wife Nina of Snow Camp, Tony Allred and wife Teri of Mebane and Debbie Cabrera and husband Bobby of Burlington; three grandchildren, Tristan Allred, Seed Allred and Lily Cabrera; two sisters, Carolyn Tickle and husband L.Q. of Gibsonville and Doris Holyfield and husband Ray of Liberty; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Dickie Suits.
The funeral service will be conducted at Brightwood Christian Church, 300 Brightwood Church Road, Gibsonville, N.C. on Sunday, June 29, 2014, at 3 p.m. by Pastor Ricky Cox. Burial will follow in Gibsonville City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. At other times they will be at the residence.
