HAW RIVER - Mr. Isaac "Dennis" Allbritton, 79, went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 21, 2014.
A native of Dorchester, S.C., he was the son of the late Susan Althea Knight and the late Bill Padgett.
Dennis was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Dennis proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was employed with Associated Transport and retired from Burlington Industries as a truck driver. Dennis was a member of the Mebane Masonic Lodge and the Haw River Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Betty Bradsher Allbritton, of the home; sons, Tim Allbritton (Wendy) of Graham, David Allbritton of Haw River; daughters, Angela Allen (Terry) of Burlington and Susan Wilson (Thomas) of Burlington; grandchildren, Ashley Williams (Brandon), Kimberly Waldron (Josh), Amanda Allbritton, Nick Carter and Kalah Carter; great-grandchildren, Jaiden Allbritton, Colton Wilson, Chase Wilson, McKenna Williams, Trenton Carter and Paislee Dollar; brother, Allie Allbritton (Pat) of Virgina; stepbrother Lester Padgett (Dorann) of Texas.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Allbritton and a stepbrother, Kent Padgett.
A celebration of his life and homegoing service will be held at the former Haw River Christian Church at 2 p.m. on Friday with Pastor Jimmy Bledsole officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the former Haw River Christian Church and at other times at the residence. Interment with military honors will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
