BURLINGTON - Mr. John Mark Watts, 82, of Burlington died at his residence on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 8:27 AM.
A native of Paulding County, Georgia he was the husband of Hazel Voyles Watts for 60 years, who survives, and the son of Robert Franklin Watts and Ella Louanna Williams Watts, both deceased. He retired from Dixie Yarn in Saxapahaw after 46 years. He was a member of Whitworth Memorial Baptist Church in Crossroads Georgia.
In addition to his wife of the home he is survived by three daughters, Vicky York and husband Randy of Snow Camp, Debra Watts of the home, and Avis Fletcher and husband Jeffrey of Thomasville; twelve grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; a brother Ralph Watts of Georgia; a sister, Cleo Wilkins of Georgia; and many nieces, nephews, brother in law, and sisters in law.
A funeral service will be held at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at 2:00 PM by the Rev. Doug Durham. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 25, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham. At other times the family will be at the residence.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Thomas Miller and Dr. Bart Scott. They would also like to thank Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance – Caswell.
