LIBERTY - Arthur Vernon Fogleman, 70, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014, at UNC Hospitals. He was the husband for 49 years to Joyce Mitchell Fogleman who survives.

Arthur retired after 48 years with Tyco Electronics. He was a member of Low's Lutheran Church and a farmer in the community. Arthur enjoyed tractor pulls and NASCAR racing. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce M. Fogleman of the home; daughter, Michelle Culler and husband, Bo of Powder Springs, Georgia; sons, Todd Fogleman of Liberty and Chad Fogleman and wife, Stephanie of Liberty; grandchildren, Timothy, Sydney, Harrison and Lacy; sister, Alma Lou Shaw and husband, Glenn of Gastonia; brother, Alvis Fogleman and wife, Peggy of New Bernand; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joel Weldon and Verna Dare Fogleman and brothers, Joel and Holt Fogleman.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Low's Lutheran Church by the Rev. John Mark Beam III and the burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and at other times at the home.
