GIBSONVILLE - Bradley "Brad" Carl Pembroke, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at the Hospice Home. He was born in Rochester, NY February 2, 1935 to the late Carl and Edna Pembroke of Palmyra, NY. He was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife of 51 years June Joan (Collins) Pembroke and a brother, Larry William Pembroke of Rochester, NY.
Brad was a U.S. Army veteran (SSG) serving from 1952 to 1965 with duty stations in Pennsylvania, Germany, Korea, Ft. Dix, New Jersey, Hawaii and the University of Connecticut.
He was a security officer at Kodak Park Division from 1965-1986 and a police officer in Chapel Hill from 1986-1988 until an accident rendered him disabled.
Brad is survived by a daughter, Julie Ann Pembroke of Graham; two sisters, Judy Pipitone of Palmyra, NY and Geraldine Teeter of Newark, NY; 2 grandchildren, Jennifer (David) Ritter of Gibsonville and Jerod Raftery of Burlington; 4 great grandchildren, Amanda Cook and Joshua Raftery both of Gibsonville, Kaden Raftery and Liam Raftery both of Burlington and numerous nieces and nephews.
