April Capps Obituary

BURLINGTON - Ms. April Mary Simmons Capps, 68, of 906 Sydney Ave., passed away on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012.
A native of Westchester County, she was the daughter of George Grassi and Mary Ann McCullum.
Survivors include three sons, Dale Simmons (Linda), of Burlington, Frank Ortez (Debbie), of El Paso, Texas, and Gregory Ogden, of Los Angeles, Calif.; one daughter, Jennifer Buzzell, of Burlington; two brothers, Dennis Grassi, of White Plains, N.Y., and Bob Grassi, of Siler City; one sister, Geraldine Nunn, of White Plains, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and other special relatives and friends.
A service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, at Alamance Funeral Service in the chapel.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and all other times at the home of her son, Dale Simmons, at 317 Spring Valley Drive. Public viewing will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25.
Alamance Funeral Service is entrusted with arrangements.

Mrs. Angie and I will always remember Sis. April's sweet spirit and her love for her Lord and family. God gave her the gift of art and poetry to comfort and help her friends and family. She is healed and more alive now than she has ever been. See you in heaven Sis.
