MEBANE - Annie Lee Wilkerson, widow of Paul Tyson Wilkerson, entered the presence of the Lord on Monday morning, Nov. 12, 2012. She was born January 14, 1922 and was the daughter of the late Tulley Tapp and Annie Smith Tapp.

Left to treasure her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Jerome and Vickie Wilkerson of Easley, S.C.; two grandsons, David (Michelle) Wilkerson of Anderson, S.C. and Dr. Brent (Calah) Wilkerson of Sacramento, Calif.; three great-grandchildren, Shane Wilkerson, Cullen Wilkerson, and Rylie Wilkerson; two sisters, Lucille Carter and Hessie Ruth Horner; and one brother, Lindsey Tapp.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; three sisters, Clarine Thompson, Hazel Gibson, and Daphine Collins; one brother, Aubrey Tapp; and two great-grandchildren; Jonathan David Wilkerson and Sean Paul Wilkerson.
Annie Lee retired from Kingsdown Mill and was a member of the 04 Club of Kingsdown. She faithfully attended Grace Bible Fellowship in Burlington. She loved cooking for her family and was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and a friend to all.
The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17 at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane. The funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Ken Harman at 2 p.m. in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
