HURDLE MILLS - Willie Ree Lunsford Broach, 82, of 705 Broach Road, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012 surrounded by her family.

Born in Person County, Mrs. Broach was the daughter of the late Fornie Lou and Maggie Lou Welch Lunsford.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sisters, Doris Chandler, Frances Huff and Lorean Hill; brothers, Medford Lunsford and Edsel Lunsford.
Mrs. Broach was of the Primitive Baptist faith. She was the former operator of Hester's Store and Mitchell's Seafood in Burlington. She loved to read, embroider and share her work with her friends and family.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Samuel Nathaniel "Nat" Broach; children, Larry Nathaniel Broach and wife Patsy of Burlington, Deborah Broach Kendrick and husband Maynard of Hurdle Mills and Christi Broach Epps and husband Ronnie of Roxboro; brother-in-law, Willie Chandler of Roxboro; sisters-in-law, Frances Lunsford of Timberlake and Ruth Lunsford of Springfield, Mass.; grandsons, Chad Kendrick and partner Michelle, Kyle Kendrick, Nikki Freeman and Larry N. Broach Jr. and wife Kris; great-grandchildren, Makayla Kendrick, Matthew Kendrick and Gracie Broach.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012 in the Brooks & White Chapel by Elder Jimmy Gray and Elder Cleo Robertson. Interment will follow in the family plot at Wheeler's Primitive Baptist Church cemetery near Gordonton. Pallbearers will be her nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Brooks & White Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
