Betty F. Fox, 87, passed from this life on Nov. 21, 2012 in Chester, Va.

Mrs. Fox was the daughter of the late Albert and Clara Fitch, and was predeceased by her beloved husband Melvin L. Fox, brother Dick Fitch, and sisters Rose Tucker, Marian Breaker and Dorothy Tanner.
She is survived by her brother Don Fitch and wife Elna of Kansas. Also surviving are two sons and their wives, Larry and Shirley (Lindley) Fox of Chester, Va., and the Rev. Dennis and Joy (Surber) Fox of Ewing, Va., four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren who loved their Grammy, as well as a sister-in-law Colletta Fox of Maryland.
Melvin and Betty Fox resided in Burlington for many years where he was employed by Western Electric. They were active members of Burlington Assembly of God Church.
In Virginia, she was a member of Cornerstone Church in Chester, Va. where she volunteered for many years in the office and maintained plants and flowers on the grounds. She was a lady at all times and was loved and respected.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor her may send contributions to the "Betty Fox Memorial Missions Fund" with checks payable to Cornerstone Church, 10551 Chalkley Road, North Chesterfield, Va. 23237.
Interment will take place at Alamance Memorial Park in Burlington on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Howard Thompson officiating.
