GRAHAM - Mr. Sidney Lynn Rice, 51, of 470 Rascoe Dameron Road, Burlington, formerly of Fredericksburg, Va., died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at the UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill after a lengthy illness.
Lynn's theme in life was his own saying "I'm Living The Dream."
Born in Alamance County, he was employed as a civil engineer for the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his sons, Gem Rice and Jesse Rice; one sister; and three brothers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie A. Rice and Terese Marlene Peters.
The family will receive friends at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, from 6 until 8 p.m., other times at the residence.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at Kerr's Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Dan Ficklin and Mr. Dink Turner.
Burial will be in Kerr's Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
