EFLAND - Esther Craven Lemons, 89, of 1223 Brookhollow Road, passed away Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at White Oak Manor.

Mrs. Lemons was born in Randolph County, N.C.
She was a retired Beautician and owned and operated her own salon.
She was a member of Efland United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Ronald W. Lemons (Sandra), of Efland; a daughter, Sue L. Hamlett (Arnold), of Snow Camp; grandchildren, Holly Lemons, Carter Lemons, Christopher Galbraith and Jon Galbraith; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Ann Morris, of Carrboro; and a brother, George Craven, of Efland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Willis Lemons, her parents, Talmadge Dewitt Craven and Viola Saunders Craven, her sisters, Ila Schoenhoff and Lois Cooke, and her brothers, Jacob Craven, James Craven and William P. Craven.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Efland United Methodist Church with the Revs. Ken McLean and Bobby Whitfield.
Entombment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane from 5 until 7 p.m. Sunday evening. Other times they will be at the residence.
