BURLINGTON - Mrs. Joyce Willets Hudson, 89, of 6231 Kimesville Road, Liberty, died Saturday, March 9, 2013, at the Hospice Home in Burlington.

A native of Chatham County, Mrs. Hudson was the wife of the late Hoyte V. Hudson and the daughter of the late John D. Willets and the late Lavata Thomas Willets.
Mrs. Hudson was a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church in Liberty and a former member of the Tabor Circle.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was retired from Kayser-Roth Hosiery, where she worked as a supervisor.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Delores Hudson Arey, of Liberty, and Mrs. Patricia Hudson Moore, of Raleigh; one son, Max Vestal Hudson, of Burlington; six grandchildren, Dwight, David, Jamie, Tracy, Laura and Ashley; eight great-grandchildren and another great-grandson is expected to arrive shortly; a sister-in-law, Delores Willets, of Burlington; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Hudson was preceded in death by four brothers, John D., Jack, Darrell Grey and Donald Lee.
A memorial service will be held Monday, March 11, 2013, at 1 p.m. in the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington. Officiating will be the Rev. Chuck Ireson.
The family will receive friends at Rich and Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington, Monday, from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. prior to the service. Other times, they will be at the residence.
