YANCEYVILLE, N.C. - Mrs. Monnie Lea Johnson, 85, of 2450 Burton Chapel Road, died Monday, April 15, 2013 at her residence.

Survivors are: husband, William Albert Johnson Sr. of the home; children: William Johnson (Cynthia), Quinton Johnson (Mary), Ingretta Totten (Carlton), Bishop Alice Totten, Larry Johnson (Julie), George Johnson (Caroline), Ethel Spencer, James Johnson (Candy), Betty Thomas (William), Margie Royster, Joseph Johnson (Tracey), Vernon Johnson (Diane), Carole Johnson, and Carl Johnson (Michelle); sister, Jesse Poteat Totten; sister-in-law, Rosa B. Lea; 43 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and two honorary grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 20, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Cedar Grove Memorial Building. Apostle David Dupree of Carmak, Georgia will deliver the words of comfort. Interment will follow in the Johnson family cemetery.
Family visitation will be Friday evening from 6 to 8 at the Cedar Grove Memorial Building, N.C. 158 West, Yanceyville.
