BURLINGTON - Mrs. Marguerite Evelyn Liles Setzer, 93, of Burlington, died at the Hospice Home on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 6:10 p.m. following several months declining health and two weeks critical illness.

A native of the city of McFarlan and county of Anson, N.C., she was the daughter of William Thomas Liles and Lula May Miller Liles, both deceased. She was a retired nurse for Alamance County Hospital and pink lady at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was a volunteer for the Alamance County Meals On Wheels. Marguerite was a member of Altamahaw Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and Bible School principal and a member of the Young at Heart Club.
Survivors include her son, Roger Setzer and wife Dianne of Burlington; daughter, Freda Ann Kimrey of Elon; brother, James W. Liles of Bartow, Fla.; two granddaughters, Julie Miles and husband Mike and Jennifer Setzer, all of Burlington; and two great-grandsons, Alex Miles and Trent Miles.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Marshall Lee Setzer; an infant sister, Doris May Liles; and sister, Lucille Johnson.
The funeral service will be conducted at Altamahaw Baptist Church on Sunday, June 30, 2013 at 3 p.m. by Dr. Steve Tucker. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m.
