VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -On this 30th day of July, 2013, we announce the death of our beautiful, beautiful son, Travis Daniel Clayton. Travis was gifted on July 3, 1988 by God to parents Thomas and Gail Clayton of 416 Benjamin Court, Burlington.
Travis Daniel passed from this world into eternity on July 26, 2013 at 12:39 p.m. in Harrisburg, Pa.
Travis is survived by his beloved parents, Thomas and Gail Clayton; brother, Joshua Clayton and wife Dana; grandparents, James and Virginia Jones; Travis's son, Bryson Dale Terry-Clayton, of Caswell County; Aunt Karen and Uncle David May of Manassas, Va., Aunt Wanda S. Handy and Uncle Donald; Steve Clayton of Burlington; beloved family members, Ajax and Little Joe; and many, many close friends and extended family members.
Travis is predeceased by his grandparents Willie and Hazel Clayton of Burlington; and grandfather, Kenneth Hill; and uncle, Ted W. Hill, of Lynchburg, Va.
Travis was schooled at Blessed Sacrament Catholic School in Burlington and attended Williams High School in Burlington and home schooled through Keystone High School. Travis attended Northern Virginia Community College in Manassas, Va. and Tidewater Community College at Virginia Beach, Va.
Our amazing son had many enjoyments of times gone by with local friends of Burlington and Virginia Beach, talking and sharing a visit. Travis loved playing golf with his dad and brother, Josh, skiing, fishing, and riding his new bicycle on the Boardwalk at Virginia Beach. Travis enjoyed watching golf, basketball and football. He was a true Blue Devils fan.
Travis Daniel Clayton was funny and such a joy, he will be forever in our hearts and our thoughts every minute, every hour of every passing day. He leaves his family with many, many cherished memories forever and ever, created from his moment of birth until his passing.
Travis was presently the manager of Carmatic Inc. of Virginia Beach, Va. and former assistant manager of the local Dacco Transmissions. He was a resident of Virginia Beach, Va. and formerly of North Carolina.
Daddy and Momma, Brother Josh and Travis made a family and will forever be a family.
Travis's family will be receiving friends at Rich and Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 6 until 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, Aug. 1, at 10 a.m. in the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington. Entombment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum.
