GRAHAM - Mrs. Jane D. Edwards, 85, of 118 Burton Street, Graham, died on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Cambridge Hills Assisted Living in Pittsboro.

A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Harvey Edwards Sr., who survives, and the daughter of Thomas William Drumwright Sr. and Lois Virginia Clapp Drumwright, both deceased. Mrs. Edwards retired from the Burlington City School System where she worked for many years as a cafeteria server. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Graham and the Women's Circle.
In addition to her husband, Harvey Edwards Sr., survivors include one son, the Rev. Lee Edwards and wife Tanya, of Mt. Gilead, NC; and two grandchildren, Matthew Edwards and Amy Edwards and her husband Joe. She was predeceased by one daughter, Lois Edwards; two sisters, Mary Ann Drumwright and Rosa Lee Williams; and three brothers, Robert Grover Drumwright, Walter Lee Drumwright, and Thomas William Drumwright Jr.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 11, 2013 at the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Graham with Dr. W. Kenneth Hall, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Graham Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the service at the Rich and Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham and at other times will be at the residence.
