Not sure what to say?

I still haven't found the words to say. We never want to believe these types of things. My guess is God must have needed some humor in Heaven & that's why it was your time. I can't seem to come up with anything else. Still tring to focus on the laughs we shared at good 'ole Chevron instead of wrapping my fingers around 'why'. I just hope that you're resting now. I'll always miss you Layne!

Emily, I am so sorry for your loss. I just opened the Town Talk on line and saw Layne's notice. Time passes so guickly ans we have to cherish each moment we spend together. I didn't know Layne, he chose you as his wife and friend so he must have been a very special man. I know that daddy would speak very highly of him and admired himas a person, husband to you and father to the children and of course a hard worker which was an important attribute to have in daddy's eyes. I'm sorry that I will not be able to give you a hug in person tomorrow, but know that you, Lindsay & Jeremy will be in my thoughts and prayers as you lay him to rest, rest in the loving arms of his Lord. Love to you and the family. Dianne & Jim Maxey, Lumberton, Tx.

Laine lived next door to my family when he was a child. My son, Scott, was either at Laines house, or Laine was at my house. Laine was my daughter's first crush at age 11. I miss seeing him in grocery stores where we would catch up on our lives. He was a great person.
My sympathy to Emily and her family.

No words can express the sadness I feel for your family. Layne will truly be missed by all. Heaven has gained another Angel. God bless the ones he has left behind and the peoples lives that he has changed. I will never forget him and am proud I could call him my friend. God bless Emily,Lyndsey, and Jermy, he loved yall whole heartedly and would always speak of how truly blessed and proud of his family and how lucky he was to have married his soulmate. Lyndsey, words can not describe the love and pride he had in his heart to call you his little girl. The sun set and rose in your eyes. He was also so proud to be able to call Jermy his son. God bless all of you.
