Lawrence Louis Guillory
Funeral services for Mr. Lawrence Louis Guillory will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 21, 2013 at St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church in Echo with Father Scott Chemino officiating. Entombment will be in St. Francis DeSales Mausoleum. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.
Mr. Guillory, age 69, of Echo, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lornis and Cecile Lacombe Guillory and sister, Helen Ponthier.
He was co-owner of Louisiana Hydrostatics in Alexandria. He was an automobile and hydraulics mechanic for over 50 years. His hobbies included hunting and car racing but his first love was spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and served as a Fourth Degree Knight.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Shirley Bordelon Guillory of Echo, one son; Rick Guillory and wife Jaynell of Ball, one daughter; Tammy Guillory Coco of Echo, one brother; Herman Guillory and wife Oline of Echo, four grandchildren; Cody Coco, Lacey Lemoine, Matthew and Natalie Guillory, three step-grandchildren; Dennis, Jaylynn and Nathan Prudhomme.
Visitation will be held in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville on Friday, September 20, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and will resume on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. until shortly before funeral service time.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hixson Brothers on Friday.
