Margie McNeal Coker
Funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Margie McNeal Coker will be at 11:00 a.m. at Gospel Light Baptist Church, Pineville, with Dr. Joe Sharp officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria.
The family request that visitation be observed at Hixson Brothers, Alexandria Friday, December 21, 2012 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. and continued Saturday from 8:00 -9:30 a.m. at the funeral home and from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the Church.
Mrs. Coker, 85, of Alexandria, passed from this life Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church, Pineville. Mrs. Coker was a loving mother and grandmother and especially loved time spent with family.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Hannon McNeal and William Coker; parents, Pete and Carey Herron Rogers; brother, Ervin Rogers; son-in-law, Claudie Ray Smith and four grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Clifton McNeal and wife, Nina of Effie; daughters, Carolyn McNeal Smith of Deville, Patricia McNeal Nall and husband, H.A. of Alexandria, Carrie Jane McNeal of Alexandria and Janice Marie McNeal of Copopaxi, Colorado; 18 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Greg Nall, Eric Davis, Tiger Smith, Kenny Smith, Logan O'Brien and Jareth Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Smith, Kyle Higgs, Michael McGraw, Skylar O'Brien and Patton Cudd.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to The American Cancer Society, 1761 N. 19th St. Monroe, LA 71201.
