DC Richards
Funeral services for Mr. DC Richards will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 1, 2012 in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, Louisiana with Reverend Leland Briggs officiating. Interment will be in Fairfield Cemetery, in the Fairfield community, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.
Mr. Richards, age 72, of Dry Prong, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at his residence.
He was a native of Dry Prong, Louisiana (Center of the Universe). He was a retired U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. Followed by an extensive career in the beverage industry which included Miller Brewing Company, Ft. Worth, Texas, Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Alexandria, Louisiana, Coca-Cola , Durham, North Carolina, National Beverage Company, Winnsboro, Louisiana, and Whitlock Packaging Corporation, Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma. He was President of the Fairfield Cemetery Association.
Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill, Frank Beard and the remaining crew of ZZ Top, send their heartfelt condolence and will not be able to attend due to previous engagements.
He is preceded in death by his Father Clyde Richards.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Ouida Jo Richards of Marksville, Louisiana. mother; Dorthy Burke of Colfax, Louisiana. two sons, Don Richards
(Jennifer) Brandon, Mississippi and Josh Richards of Corpus Christi, Texas. two step sons; Keith Brossett (Elizabeth) of Alexandria, Louisiana and Shea Brossett of Pineville, Louisiana. one daughter; Sandy Richards of Colfax, Louisiana. one brother; Clarence Owen Richards (Arlene) of Colfax, Louisiana. one uncle; Owen (Dudder) Richards of Dry Prong, Louisiana. seven grandchildren; Justin Bucklew, Sylas Richards, Landyn Brossett, Korey Brossett, Matthew Brossett, Aden Richards and Landri (Tu-Tu) Brossett. survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Sunday, September 30, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Monday, October 1, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

DC was my boss when I was at Alexandria Coca Cola, working my way through college. He kept encouraging me all the time to finish, and he was a good friend...he will be missed...
