Brandon Wayne Goyne

Funeral services for Brandon Wayne Goyne, 20, will be held Friday, January 25, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at Summer Grove Baptist Church. Officiating will be Dr. Randy Harper. Graveside services held at 3:00 p.m. in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Ringgold, LA. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 24, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel.

Brandon was born June 30, 1992 in Shreveport, LA to Scott and Debbie Goyne. He passed away January 18, 2013 in Alexandria. He collapsed on the LSUA baseball field during practice and never regained consciousness. He earned numerous awards including; All- District Baseball First Team; All-East Texas Baseball and was on a baseball scholarship to LSUA. He loved baseball, working out, playing video games with his friends, but most of all he loved his family.

Brandon was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ronny Jorstad. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Scott and Debbie Jorstad Goyne; brother, Derek and fiancée Leanna and their son, Connor; girlfriend, Katherine Trahan; grandparents Cookie Jorstad and Wayne and Sylvia Goyne; aunts, Julie Jorstad Gay and husband, Mark and children, Alexandra, Krystyn, and Parker, and Beth Freeman and husband, Alan and son, Justin McCreary; uncles, Todd Jorstad and wife, Heather and children, Reagan and Seth; Mitch Goyne and wife, Cheryl and children, Austin and Sarah; great-aunts, Marilynn Boudreau and husband John; Annette McIntyre and husband Don; Jan Grubbs and husband Jerry; great-uncles Dan Chapman and wife Shirley; cousins Tara Heun and husband Chris; Johna Page and husband Mike, their families and a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Ingraffia, Drew Tidwell, Ty Hayes, Zach Gillard, Ryan Woodward, Dannon Thomas, Preston Garcia, Connor Lloyd and Brandon Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be the LSUA Baseball Team.

Special thanks to Coach Porsche, Coach Bravata, Coach Zeilman, the EMT Paramedics that responded and Rapides Regional Hospital.

Memorials may be made to the LSUA or Elysian Fields High School Baseball Programs.
