Byron Eddie Sayes
Byron Eddie Sayes, 86, of Lake Jackson, Texas passed away at his home on September 29, 2012.
He is preceded in death by his wife Marilyn Laborde Sayes, parents Ida and Hannon Sayes, sister Edith Nell Sayes, brothers Willie Sayes, Winston Sayes and Davis Sayes and grandson Ryan Sayes.
He is survived by son Kyle Sayes and wife Patty of Lake Jackson, daughters Edith Niemeier and husband Brian of El Campo and Amy Wagner of Lake Jackson, grandchildren Kevin and Stuart Sayes, Scott and Erin Niemeier, Haley and Brett Wagner, brothers Malcolm Sayes of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Joe Sayes of Tyler Town, Mississippi.
Byron was born July 24, 1926. He was raised in Vick, Louisiana. At the age of eighteen he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served his country during WWII. In 1956 he married Marilyn. In 1959 Byron started his career at Dow Chemical as an operator and retired from Dow in 1992. He enjoyed working cross word puzzles and watching westerns and old movies. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed keeping up with their activities.
Family will receive friends on Monday, October 1, 2012 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, October 2, 2012 in the Restwood Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow in the Restwood Memorial Park Mausoleum, Clute, Texas.

We knew and admired Byron for the first 18 yrs of his life, and he was an inspiration to me and my family. My condolences to Joe , Malcolm, his children and grandchildren. I am sure memories of his wisdom and joy will remain with you,as it will with me. Charles Dunn

Kyle, Edie and Amy,
I am so sorry to hear about Uncle Byron's passing. He was always a joy to be around. I have so many memories, especially at Uncle Tunnie's house, growing up. May God bless you and your families and I will keep you all in my prayers. Sorry I was unable to attend the services.

Kyle, Patti & Amy (with families).... I am very sorry to hear about your Dad....often I would chat with him at Kroger's shopping after Marilyn passed away(my dear friend). He's at peace now and visiting with family members.....

To the Byron Sayes Family; We all loved Byron here at Vick. My parents, Cecil and Mabel talked to him often on the phone.
