Laurence L. King
Services for Mr. Laurence L. King will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Missionary Baptist Church under the direction of Good Shepherd Funeral Home with the Reverend Charlie R. Jones, Pastor officiating. Burial will be in Providence Memorial Park in Metairie, Louisiana under the direction of Charbonnet Labat Funeral Home, Inc of New Orleans, Louisiana.
Mr. Laurence L. King, age 65, of Alexandria, Louisiana died at 8:50 a.m. on May 6, 2013 at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital.
Mr. King was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to William and Evelyn King. He joined the United States Air Force in 1969 where he served 20 years. He retired from Carrier in service in 1990 at England Air Force Base. He later retired from Postal Service in 2010.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Mr. William E. King Jr. and Mrs. Evelyn Brooks King; brothers: William E. King III and Michael J. King Sr. and his grandson: Paul J. Hammothe V.
Those left to cherish his memories include his daughters: Lechia Hughes, Sonia King, Laura Lewis and Loretta King; sister: Deborah K. Wise of Houston, Texas; brother: Larry J. King of New Orleans, Louisiana, nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and devoted friend Donna (Baby Doll) Jones.
