Leckie, Alfred "Peanut" "Al"  
Alfred "Al" "Peanut" Leckie Funeral services celebrating the life of Alfred "Al" "Peanut" Leckie will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, April 26, 2015, at Friendship Baptist Church, Fishville, with Dr. Don Litton officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Pineville. The family requests that visitation be observed at the funeral home Saturday, April 25, 2015, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and resume at the church on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Alfred Leckie, 80, of Alexandria, formerly of Pollock, passed from this life on Thursday, April 23, 2014, at his residence. Mr. Leckie was a 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1953-1959, and the United States Air Force from 1960-1963. During his working career he worked for the State of Louisiana Department of Corrections. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas A. and Berti Baum Leckie. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Jean Beaubouef Leckie; son, Freddy Lynn Leckie; daughters, Debra Katheryn Zuber and Tamara Reene Leckie; stepson, Brent B. Michiels; stepdaughter, Gaylan Hardaway; 5 grandchildren; 8 step grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 14 step great grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends. Lemoine, Lois  
Lois Lemoine Funeral Services for Lois Lemoine will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Moreauville at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 24, 2015. Visitation will be held at Escude Funeral Home of Moreauville on Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 5-10 p.m. and reopening on Friday from 8-11 a.m. Let us be grateful for those who give us happiness. They are the charming gardeners who make our souls bloom. Lois Mae Soldani Lemoine, 80 years old, of Moreauville passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Grace Home. She was born on August 29, 1934. Lois is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Vincent P. Lemoine Sr., her parents; Wilhenry and Blanche Couvillion Soldani and brothers Emanuel Soldani and Hubert Soldani. Survivors include three sons; E.P. and wife Ila Lemoine, Buce and wife Charissa Lemoine of Moreauville, Vincent and wife Claire Lemoine of Marksville. One daughter, Arlene and husband Ronnie Juneau of Baton Rouge. She is also survived by one brother, Leonard Soldani of Moreauville and two sisters Bernadine Bordelon of Fifth Ward and Frances Szekely of Moreauville. She leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren. Lois was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all. She will be fondly remembered for her ability to produce abundant amounts of vegetables in her garden and her insistence on sharing them with everyone she knew. Her deep faith was evident in her daily mass attendance and service to her church. Ecclesiastes 12:7, Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was and the spirit shall return unto god that gave it.

Long, Jennifer Rose  
Jennifer Rose Long Funeral services celebrating the life of Jennifer Rose Long will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 24, 2015, at Calvary Woodworth, with Reverend Lou Gordon and Reverend Arlie Rowley officiating. Burial will follow in Woodworth Cemetery, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria. Visitation will be observed at the church on Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will resume on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Pallbearers honored to serve will be Mike Ogaard, Glen Long, Alison Sims, Eric Long, Michael Long, Bo Sylvia and Jared Jouette. Honorary pallbearers are Merl Long, Carl Long, David De Soto and Tony Schoenenberger. Jennifer Rose Long, 36, of Woodworth, passed from this life on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at her residence. Jennifer lived her life to the fullest regardless of her challenges. She played softball in the Challenger League for 3 years and loved listening to all types of music, but her favorite #1 guy was Garth Brooks. She is preceded in death by her mother, Linda Scott Long and her maternal grandparents and paternal grandfather. Those left to cherish her memory include her father, Gary E. Long; paternal grandmother, Wanda Long; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and her longtime caregiver, Ella Schoenenberger. Memorial donations may be made to the Rhett Syndrome Foundation, P.O. Aaron Blake Lachney Services for Aaron Lachney will be held at Noon on Friday, April 24, 2015 in Bay Springs Baptist Church in Chopin, La. with Rev. Clark Palmer officiating. Interment will be in Bay Springs Cemetery, Chopin under the direction of John Kramer & Son Funeral Home. Aaron Lachney, 18, of Ball, La. passed away at his home on Sunday, April, 19, 2015. Visitation will start at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, at Bay Springs Baptist Church, and will continue until time of service on Friday. Aaron is preceded in death by his mother, Vinita Norton; grandfather, Lloyd Lachney. Aaron was an avid Pokemon player. He was a member of the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) for six years, serving as Flight Sergeant with rank of C/CMSgt. He was a member of the ASH MCJROTC for four years and was a 1LT Company XO. Aaron was also a member of the track team at ASH his freshman year and the Honor Guard. Those left to cherish his memory include his father and step-mother, John and Bridget Lachney of Ball, La.; sister Taylor N. Nguyen (Michael) of Fort Stewart, Ga.; nieces Kaitlyn and Karlie Nguyen of Fort Stewart, Ga.; stepbrothers Davie and Den'e Hernandez of Ball, La; grandparents Mary Lachney of Alexandria, La. LaCombe, Carrie R.  
Carrie R. LaCombe November 21, 1946 - April 19, 2015 Funeral services for Carrie R. LaCombe will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville with the Reverends Arnold Norsworthy and Clark Palmer officiating. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ball, Louisiana under the direction of Rush Funeral Home in Pineville, Louisiana. Mrs. LaCombe, age 68, entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at The Oaks Care Center in Pineville, Louisiana. Carrie was born in Winnfield on November 21, 1946. She was an active member of Faith Baptist Church, Tioga, Louisiana. She was retired from the Louisiana Baptist Convention. Carrie loved gardening, needle point sewing, walking, reading and fishing. She is preceded in death by her parents, J. Ralph and Pairlee Dawson; one sister, Georgia Aline Dawson; one brother, Alvin S. Dawson. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 49 years, Ezra LaCombe; two sons, Dean LaCombe of Dry Prong and Randy Lacombe (Kerry Sue) of Pollock; one sister, Mrs. Naomi Willis of Forest Hill; four grandchildren, Curtis LaCombe (Tiffany), April LaCombe, Ashlynn LaCombe and Brady LaCombe; two great grandchildren, Kiley LaCombe and Kaiden LaCombe. Pallbearers will be Rick LaCombe, Pat Dawson, Aubrey Wiley, Hershel Williamson, Morris Pitre and Billy Lee.
