Lexie Beatrice Coleman Celebrating the Life of Lexie Beatrice Coleman will be held at 11 a.m., Sunday, April 26, 2015 in the Solid Rock Church, 1023 Webster Street, Oakdale, LA 71463 with Pastor Ella M. Brown officiating. Committal service will follow in the Oakdale Community Cemetery under the guidance of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale. Lexie, 103, of Sacramento, California entered eternal rest on Thursday, April 16, 2015 in Sacramento, California. She was born March 15, 1912 in Dawson, Texas to William Rhodes and Penny James Rhodes. She was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She is preceded in death by her parents; her spouse, Baldwin Brown; four daughters, Dixie Jarvis, Doris Jackson, Ernestine Maynard, and Henretta Strugis; two sons, James Coleman and Lavern Brown; five brothers, Willie Rhodes, Henry Booker T Rhodes, John A. Rhodes, Theotric Rhodes, and Lloyd Howard Rhodes, Sr.; four sisters, Mary Greggs, Tini A. Rhodes-Feasta, Annie Rhodes-Wheelwright-Jones, and Carrie R. Rhodes-Martin; four grandson, Zachary Merical, Kennon Harris, Arthur Harris, and Kalon Wofford. Those left behind to cherish her memory are: one son, Reverend Edward D. Brown, Jr. (Ella) of Oakdale; one daughter, Cathon Adams (Levi C.) of Sacramento, California; 25 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren; numerous great-great grandchildren; and 1 great-great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Pallbearers to serve will be Alvernon Brown, Baldwin Brown, III, Bobby W. Brown, Darrell P. Brown, Edward D. Brown, Jr., and Joseph L. Brown. Honorary pallbearers to serve will be Billy Thompson, Bobby Jarvis, Brother Elanton Hall, Morris Reed, III, and Trinity John Terrell. Friends may call from 9 a.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2015 until time of service in the church.

Patsy Irmalene Lofton Cotten Funeral services for Patsy Irmalene Lofton Cotten, age 73 of Urania, LA, will be held at 2 PM Saturday, April 25, 2015 from the sanctuary of Urania Pentecostal Church, Urania, LA with Rev. Jim Lofton and Rev. Elsie Ray Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the Pinehill Cemetery, Olla, LA. Visitation will be Friday, April 24, 2015 from 5 PM to 8 PM at Urania Pentecostal Church. Mrs. Cotten was born on March 19, 1942 in Urania, LA to the union of D.L. and Ernestine Kilby Lofton and went to her Heavenly home on April 22, 2015 at her residence. Patsy was a homemaker who loved her grandchildren. Her hobbies included gardening, and growing many beautiful flowers and ceramics. She was preceded in death were her parents and husband, Billy Wayne Cotten. Those left to cherish her memory include her son, David Cotten and wife, April of Urania; daughter, Lisa Cotten of Olla; brother, Gene Lofton and wife, Sue of Urania and her grandchildren: Chelsey Cotten, Clay Cotten and Patrick Bailey. Francis Joseph "Frank" d'Autremont IV Services for Francis Joseph "Frank" d'Autremont, IV will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Holy Comforter Episcopal Church, LeCompte, with Rev. Ella Breckenridge and Rev. Joseph Bordelon officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2015 at the family home on Chaseland Plantation. Francis Joseph "Frank" d'Autremont, IV, 60, of LeCompte, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at his home. Frank is preceded in death by his parents, Frank, III and Jeanne Jackson d'Autremont; sister, Ann Glover d'Autremont Neal, and uncle, Dr. Joel Early Matthews Jackson, Jr. Frank served in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Alexandria Flotilla 46, was a member of Gordy Lodge #133 F&AM for 39 years, receiving his master's degree in 1976. He was also a 32nd Scottish Rite Mason. Frank was the owner of the family plantation, Chaseland Plantation. He was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order and a parishioner of Holy Comforter Episcopal Church in LeCompte. Frank was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors. He will be dearly missed by many friends and extended family, and especially his dog, Augusta Marie d'Autremont. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Meleesa "Honey" Cox d'Autremont, of LeCompte, La.; 5 children, Francis "Quinn" Joseph d'Autremont, V, of Alexandria, La., Chaney Joel d'Autremont, of Lafayette,La., Amy Knighton, and husband, Kevin, of Mira, La., Serenity Evans, and husband, Allen of Shreveport, La., Patrice Dean, and husband, Jeremy of Seabrook, Tx.; 5 grandchildren, Isabel Rainwater, Cole and Haley Knighton, Luke and Eva Dean; 1 sister, Dr. Sarah d'Autremont Mandry, and husband, Dr. Cristobal Mandry, of Baton Rouge, La.; 2 nephews, Luke Jackson Joseph and Chaney Francis Joseph. Honorary Pallbearers will be Luke Joseph, Cheney Joseph, Cristobal Mandry, Robert Cox, Doug Cox, Victor Cox, Rusty Jackson, Sr., Bill Jackson, and Robert Jackson. Leckie, Alfred "Peanut" "Al"  
Alfred "Al" "Peanut" Leckie Funeral services celebrating the life of Alfred "Al" "Peanut" Leckie will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, April 26, 2015, at Friendship Baptist Church, Fishville, with Dr. Don Litton officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Pineville. The family requests that visitation be observed at the funeral home Saturday, April 25, 2015, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and resume at the church on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Alfred Leckie, 80, of Alexandria, formerly of Pollock, passed from this life on Thursday, April 23, 2014, at his residence. Mr. Leckie was a 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1953-1959, and the United States Air Force from 1960-1963. During his working career he worked for the State of Louisiana Department of Corrections. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas A. and Berti Baum Leckie. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Jean Beaubouef Leckie; son, Freddy Lynn Leckie; daughters, Debra Katheryn Zuber and Tamara Reene Leckie; stepson, Brent B. Edna Mae Aponas August 8, 1920 - April 23, 2015 Funeral services for Ms. Edna Mae Aponas will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2015 in Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, with Reverend's Dwayne Davis, Greg Willis and Arnold Norsworthy officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Hineston, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale. Ms. Aponas, 94, of Hineston entered eternal rest on Thursday, April 23, 2015 in Rapides Regional Medical Center, Alexandria. She was a lifelong member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, George Mason Potter and Sarah Catherine Potter; her husband, John Albert Aponas; one brother, Roy Potter; one sister, Delia Busby; two sons-in-law, A.C. Kennedy and Ronny "Dale" Calhoun; one daughter-in-law, Liz Aponas. Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her son, Billy Clifton Aponas of Hineston; four daughters, Gwendlyn Johnson and her husband Jimmie of Cravens, Julia "Judy" Calhoun of Yantis, TX, Kathaleen Aponas of Hineston, Mary Etta "Snookie" Kennedy of Oakdale; one she loved as her own, Alton Robinson of Hineston; fourteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren. Lois is preceded in death by her husbands, Joe Dauzat, Thomas Chesser, and Pete Gauthier; her parents Louis and Annie Andries VanHoof; her daughter, Pat Chesser; and her granddaughter Holly Chesser. She is survived by her two sons, Jimmy Chesser and his wife Jo Lynn of Alexandria, David Chesser and his wife Teressa "Teri" of Pineville; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; her brother, Louis "Buddy" VanHoof, and numerous nieces and nephews.
