Services celebrating the life of Betty Adams will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the 1st United Methodist Church, Alexandria, with Reverend Barry Hoekstra, officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria.
The family asks that visitation be observed Friday, February 22, 2013, at Hixson Brothers, Alexandria, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Mrs. Adams, 88, of Alexandria, passed from this life on February 20, 2013, at Emeritus/Kingsley Place at Alexandria.
She and her husband Paul K. Adams were the owners of Adams Pest Control for many years. She was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church, Alexandria, United Methodist Women, she served on the board of the Salvation Army and Y.W.C.A, and was a member of the Eastern Star, the Opti-Mrs. Club and the D.A.R. for over 60 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul K. Adams; her parents, William A. and Ada Coles Snyder, Sr.; a brother, William A. Snyder, Jr.; two sisters, Ada G. Hatfield and Mary A. Moeller.
Those left to cherish her memory include a son, John Paul Adams, his fiancée Debbie; a daughter, Jayne Elizabeth Rhodes, her husband Ashley; and two grandchildren, Lauren Collins and Chris Adams.
