Audie Lee Dyson
Mrs. Audie Lee Dyson, age 92 of Montgomery, Louisiana passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at the Colfax Reunion Nursing Home. Born Monday, November 1, 1920 in Verda, LA, she was a homemaker and retired from Central State Hospital in Pineville, LA. She was also a member of Hargis Baptist Church.
In her working years she loved to work in the vegetable and flower garden, visiting the elderly talking about old times, ancestor searching and making books on her family history. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother.
Mrs. Dyson was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Lizzy Jowers McIlwain, husband, James Dyson, son, Gerald Dyson, two sisters, Margourie Dyson and Ilene LaCour.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Patsy McLaren and husband Jerry (Jim) of Montgomery; four grand children, Delayn and wife Rose of Morgan City, Mark and wife Sandra of Broussard, Beth Martin and husband Thomas of Montgomery, Denville Dyson and wife Elizabeth of theFairfield community; ten great grandchildren, Le Ann and husband Jessie, DeAnna and husband Jonathan, Jerry and wife Roberta, Derrik, Jason and wife Ariel, Paula, Megan, Caitlin, Mitchel, and Duston; twelve great great grandchildren, Jared, Alyssa, Kailey, Kira, Delilah, Haven, Reilli, Logan, Mary Jane, Layla, Kylee, and Adam.
Viewing will be Friday, November 16 from 11:00 AM until service time at the Hargis Batist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, November 16, 2012 in the Hargis Baptist Church with Rev. Matt Warren officiating. Interment will follow in Hargis Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
Serving as pallbearers will be great grandchildren, and honorary pallbearers will be the great great grandchildren.
