Services for Beulah Whannel Freet will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 12, 2014 in the chapel of John Kramer & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. Tony Ranero officiating. Interment will follow in Alexandria Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 11, 2014 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again on Monday from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Beulah Whannel Freet, 96, of Alexandria passed away on Friday, May 09, 2014, in Lexington House Nursing Home.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Sarah Reid Whannel; her husband Benny Freet; one son, Gary Wayne Freet, Sr.; and one son-in-law, Malcolm Couvillon.

Beulah worked as the bookkeeper for Cotton Brothers Bakery for 20 years, and sold AFLAC Insurance for 17 years. She was a member of the American Legion Post #3 and the VFW Post # 1736. Beulah was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves. She loved the outdoors and fishing.

Those left to cherish her memories include her two daughters: Connie Couvillon of Alexandria, and Kay Howell and her husband Reggie of Gonzales; one sister Dorothy Bowen of Leawood, MO; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Freet of Tulsa, OK; ten grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren , along with numerous great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers honored to serve will be Rodney Freet, Gary Freet, Jr., Drew Howell, Taylor Freet, John Ringler, and Reggie Howell.

Honorary pallbearer will be Brent Hammatt.
