Carrie L. Todd

On March 24, 2013 a soldier in God's Army was called home from the battlefield. Sister Carrie King-Todd peacefully passed from this life of mortality to a life of immorality at the age of 75 in her home.

Sister Todd was born to the late Dennis King Sr. and Mamie L. King on February 6, 1938. She was baptized at an early age, at Moss Grove Baptist Church in Jonesville. Upon moving to St. Louis Missouri, she became a faithful member of Revelation Missionary Church, where she served until leaving this world. She was a member of the Chapter #94 Order of Eastern Star, of Jonesville, Louisiana. She retired from the May Department Store. She was also employed by Mers Goodwill.

Sister Carrie Todd was preceded in death by her mother and father as well as nine (9) brothers and seven (7) sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memories: Three (3) Brothers; Dennis King, Jr. (Emma) of Alexandria, Leroy King, Sr. of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Kenneth Raymond King (Susie) of Wildsville; and Two (2) Sisters: Louise Coleman of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Elizabeth Jones of Seattle, Washington, Eliza Mae Frank, a special cousin, and confidant two special nieces Roslyn K. Wilson, of Alexandria and Vergil C. Coleman of Atlanta, Georgia, a special nephew Richard Wayne King of Alexandria, and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Service will be held on April 3, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Moss Grove Baptist Church in Jonesville, with the Rev. T. A. Baker officiating,burial will be in Peachland Cemetery also in Jonesville and under the direction of Gonzaque -Williams Mortuary, Alexandria, LA.
