Funeral services for Mr. Dan Clyde Danzy, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Mora Baptist Church, Mora, La with Reverends, Don Monk and Sherman Busby officiating. Interment will follow in Mora Baptist Church Cemetery, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.

Mr. Danzy, 81, of Mora entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 23, 2014 in his residence.

Mr. Danzy was a native of Mora La. He was a retired heavy equipment operator at Fort Polk for 32 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict in Germany. He was a member of Mora Baptist Church. He loved the outdoors, his garden and tending to his cattle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Zenous and Lucy Danzy; one brother, W.R. "Bo" Danzy; one sister, Norma Setliff.

Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife, Ruby Wise Danzy of Mora; his step-daughters, Billie Lodridge (Wayne) of Natchitoches, Mari Cosper of New Iberia, Donna Cangelose (Tommy) of Houston, Texas; one step-son, Russell Danzy (Rose Mary) of Provencal; one brother, Cecil Danzy of Hineston; 15 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild; He leaves behind special nieces and nephews, Glen Paddie, Michael Danzy, Randy Danzy, Gwen Ponthieux and Joanne Turner.

Pallbearers' serving will be: Kurt Danzy, Michael Danzy, David Paddie, Sammy Cosper, Jr., Lamar Burkes, Morgan Collins;

Honorary: Glen Paddie, Wayne Lodridge, Jr., Drew Danzy, Danny Danzy, Tyler Chester, Ben Cosper, Brett Danzy and Sam Cangelose.

Friends may call at Mora Baptist Church in Mora, Tuesday, March 25, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Wednesday, March 21, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 2:00 p.m.
