Daniel James Gaylor II (Pops)

Mr. Daniel Gaylor II of Ball passed into eternal life on January 11, 2014 in Alexandria.

A Memorial Service honoring his life will be held in the Chapel of Griffin Funeral Home Ball, LA at 2:00 P.m. on Wednesday January 15, 2014. Friends may visit on Wednesday starting at 11:00 A.M. until time of service.

Mr. Gaylor grew up in Bedford Mass. where he attended Concord High School. He received numerous 1,000 yard track awards. He also was on the Concord High School undefeated football team for 4 years and went on to win the Piedmont Bowl held in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Dan was also involved in the Boy Scouts where he was three skills away from earning the Eagle Scouts award. At age 19 he went on to join the United States Air Force. Later on he was a licensed barber where he owned his own barber shop on Masonic Drive. For the next 30 years he was a crane operator and a licensed A.B., which brought him over seas where he got to see the world. He worked for Sutherlands for 7 years and went to Home Depot where he retired.

He is survived by his Wife, Judy Price Gaylor: and Daughters, Angela Gaylor Rayner (Waylon) Danielle Nicole "Nikki" LaCombe (Pete), Mindy Tompkins (Brad), Bonnie White (Brett), Lisa White Nickel, Cindy Bryant: Sons, Jimmy White, Michael White; Brothers, Robert "Bob" William Gaylor (Mitzi); 19 Grandchildren and 5 great Grandchildren.
