Elizabeth Ann Mansfield

Elizabeth Ann Mansfield, of Baker, passed peacefully with family at her side Saturday evening December 28th, 2013.

"Zanne" Mansfield was born in San Francisco in 1935 to the late James Lawrence and Edna Earle Keasler. After graduating from Bolton High School in Alexandria, LA she attended University of Texas Austin and Louisiana College before marrying William David Mansfield in June of 1956.

A horse enthusiast and fan of Tennessee Walking Horses, she enjoyed years of success as an owner and exhibitor of fine Walking Horses in both California and Texas. After actively participating in the horse show circuit for several years she remained an avid fan after relocating to Louisiana in 1990. She relished time spent with family and was a compassionate and benevolent matriarch for all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Zanne is survived by her loving sister Carolyn Spence of Walker, devoted husband Dave; three living children David Mansfield and his wife Cecilia of Gonzales; Mike Mansfield and his wife Francie of Cincinnati, OH; and Martha Mansfield and her husband Glen Woodard of Baker; eight grandchildren, Jessica Collins, Sarah Pontureri, Rob Pontureri, Hannah Miller, Adam Miller, Conner Mansfield, Morgan Mansfield, Madeline Mansfield; and three great-grandchildren; Magnolia Collins, Khloe Pontureri, and Mason Santiny.

Zanne was preceded into God's arms by her brother James Earl Keasler in 2001 and by her youngest daughter Laura in 2007.

Funeral arrangements will be held 9:00 AM December 31 at St. Pius X Catholic Church 6380 Hooper Road in Baton Rouge.
